Fumagalli has been  in the market for almost 40 years. Born as a result of a strong partnership with "Our Family" from Ponte Lambro, its mission from the beginning  was the research into and the creation of rehabilitation aids and equipment to meet the special needs of people particularly of  children-  -with severe motor disabilities.

Being a “future-oriented” company means facing constant innovations, alongside with the cultural, methodological andscientific context in which we operate. Over time, Fumagalli has built strong relations with people well-known in the rehabilitation and science world.
Just to cite some names, Fumagalli has worked with Dr. and Mrs. Bobath and with Vaclav Vojta in the realization of subsidiaries and aids in accordance with their methods, with Philippe Souchard in the development of his famous beds and aids for Global Postural Re-education, exported and used all over the world under the supervision of the most important Italian rehabilitators to identify  timely and appropriate solutions and adjustments and to assess them in  the field.

The collaboration with Professor Charles Perfetti and his entire team deserves a separate mention.  Besides having designed and built together the complete set of subsidiaries for Cognitive Therapeutic Exercise presented in the most reknowned centers of rehabilitation all over the world, Fumagalli has also shared training and research with them, setting up the  Fumagalli Research, Education and Culture division, organizing high participation scientific events and publishing the periodical Motus, which has, for a long time, served as point of reference for the entire field of Cognitive Rehabilitation.

The participation in important partnership research projects that have also involved and involve different university departments and scientific rehabilitation centers, offer a future vision for a company that designs and manufactures products for use today, but with a careful eye on tomorrow. The collaboration with KCI, the world leading company in the field of anti-decubitus aids, has allowed Fumagalli to also acquire great competence and experience in this field that requires a tremendous amount of clinical and technical knowledge.
Today Fumagalli is a member of the WG - World Group ISO - for the research of correct validation methods  of anti-decubitus aids. The structured interaction  has extended over time to large and well known European companies such as R82, a world leader in aids for children and Handicare (the first company to design and build  a tilting posture wheelchair for serious disabilities, imposing on a global  level the culture of "tipping" to facilitate  postural stability). The collaboration goes back to  1985 and this interaction has increased and continues to increase Fumagalli’s competence in these unique and complex areas.
